La Svoboda Orchestra è una formazione poliedrica nata nel 1999 e composta attualmente da voce, fiati, chitarra, basso, batteria e percussioni. L’orchestra offre una sonorità insolita nel panorama attuale: l’intrecciarsi di melodie supportate da una marcata base ritmica fanno del suo sound un imprevedibile susseguirsi di atmosfere con profonde influenze etniche. Accanto a composizioni originali propone riletture “contaminate” di brani e canzoni che vanno dal Mediterraneo alla Mitteleuropa fino all’Oriente più estremo, con uno spirito da festa di matrimonio nomade. La Svoboda Orchestra non ha sposato un genere musicale preciso, ma si diverte a giocare con molti stili in modo originale, creando un percorso geografico-emotivo che supera i confini e mescola le culture La Svoboda OrchestraA è stata definita un ensemble specializzato nel recuperare tradizione e folk viaggiando dal Manzanarre al Reno, e ancora più in là verso i Balcani, su di una trascinante e coinvolgente carovana targata world music … un circo all’incrocio tra la tradizione Klezmer e la musica da cinema.
The Svoboda Orchestra’s formation includes a voice, saxophone. trumpet, guitar, electric bass, drums and percussion. The orchestra offers a sonority that’s unusual in the current musical panorama: the intertwining of melodies supported by a strong rhythmic base makes their sound an unpredicatble succession of atmospheres with strong Mediterranean and Balcanic influences. Alongside their original compositions, they also propose arrangements of popular traditional music with a spirit that oscillates between chamber music, citations and the festive music of a nomadic wedding. The Svoboda Orchestra has been defined “an ensemble specialized in recuperating traditional and folk music, travelling from the Manzanarre to the Rhine, and even further, towards the Balcans, upon a captivating and stimulating carovan, called world music…a circus that’s a cross between traditional Klezmer and music for movies.
